This year is flying by; I can’t believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner! As much as I love this holiday, let’s be real, Thanksgiving is hard work – not to mention a little on the costly side. So it’s nice to have a way to reuse leftovers and eliminate waste, which is why we invite French toast with fresh whipped cream to the table.
Every year I make this sweet and citrusy cranberry sauce, and it has become a family favorite. I tend to make a lot of it to ensure I have enough for everyone, but inevitably, there are always leftovers. That’s not so much of an issue, though, because these leftovers can be used for everything from breakfast to dessert.
Tart cranberry sauce, eggy french toast, and indulgent homemade whipped cream come together for a breakfast packed with comfort. Am I the only one who feels ridiculously fancy when I make fresh whipped cream? This dish is perfect to serve house guests and will help keep the Thanksgiving theme alive just a bit longer. Best part, you will have most of the ingredients on hand already.
I can’t tell you how much I look forward making this dish the day after Thanksgiving! I hope you enjoy this recipe! Don’t forget to leave me a comment below, and tag your makes on Instagram #blissmakes
