Lately, I have been noticing how much nature has been making its way into interior design and lifestyle fashions. One day as we were sitting in our living room (which is adorned with natural woods, plants, crystals, and salt lamps) my husband pointed out to me how much I have succumbed to this trend.
He was right; I really am enjoying bringing earthy elements into my home, learning about modern apothecary, and making crafts that have a calming natural style to them! Of course, rattan fits in perfectly with this flow.
I honestly cannot express how excited I was to use rattan in a DIY project! It’s been featured in so many unique design projects lately that I wasn’t sure which direction I was going to go! I just knew I had to order it from Amazon and I would figure it out from there.
When the package arrived, I immediately took out the folded rattan and started walking around my house trying to figure out the next DIY. I came across a couple of glass vases I had stuffed in the back of a cabinet and decided rattan candle holders must be made!
This is a project that you can make in less than 30 minutes and needs just a few supplies. I would suggest thrifting for a couple of vases if you don’t already have them hidden somewhere as I did. Let’s get to making!
Supplies needed for rattan candle holders:
2 glass vases
Step one: Measure and cut the rattan to fit around the vase.
Step two: Dab super glue around the edges of the rattan, then carefully adhere it to the vase. Let dry.
Step three: Place tea lights into the rattan candle holder, light, and enjoy!!
