I’m a big fan of burning incense bundles, smudge sticks, and palo santo around the house. I usually buy my smudge sticks from whole foods but I recently saw a bundle from an online retailer with a rosebud in it, and thought, I could totally make that! To be honest, I’m not sure why I didn’t start making these years ago. The process is super easy. You just need herbs and hemp cord. I wrapped fresh lavender, sage, rosemary, and pink roses together and let them dry. In a couple weeks, I had a beautiful aromatic bundle that smelled so pretty once lit. You could also set them out as decoration, they are that beautiful. Try using whatever fresh herbs you have available and make your own lovely incense.
- Herbs, I used sage, rosemary, lavender, and pink roses
- Rainbow hemp cord.
Step one: Bundle herbs together and begin wrapping from the bottom of the herbs to the top.
Step two: Tie a very loose knot by wrapping the cord through the bundled cord. Then, trim the excess cord. The herbs will shrink as they dry, so you will most likely have to re-wrap the bundle once dried.
Step three: Let incense bundle dry for two-three weeks.
I hope you enjoy this fun way to use spare herbs! Don’t forget to tag your makes on Instagram #blissmakes. Leave a comment below to join the conversation!
