Little rabbits digging for carrots! This Easter table decoration turned out too darn cute! It will look great at your gathering, plus I promise that both kids and adults will love it! Most of the components of this project are store bought, keeping this Easter table decoration craft on the easy side. The “dirt” is made from crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, the carrots are little erasers, the feet are made of sugar, and the bunnies are (you guessed it) Easter eggs! Let get to making our Easter craft, shall we?
Supplies for Easter bunny table decoration
4 hard boiled Easter eggs
Pink and white construction paper
Scissors
Black Sharpie
Craft glue
2 boxes of Oreo cookies
A glass bowl (similar here)
Small silk flowers
Small pompoms for the tails
Freezer bag
Step one: Hard boil the eggs and let them cool.
Step two: The amount of Oreo dirt you need will depend on the size dish you are using. For my dish, I needed two boxes of cookies. To crush the cookies, remove the cream and place the cookies in a zip lock freezer bag then use something heavy to crush the cookies. Dump the crushed cookies into the glass bowl.
Step three: Sprinkle the Easter grass on top of the cookies and arrange the carrots around the dish.
Step four: Cut out two small rabbit ears from the white construction paper, then cut two pieces of pink paper for the inside of the ears. I got a little abstract and cut my pink paper into geometric triangles.
Step five: Glue the pink insides of the bunny ear to the white ears. Then bend the bottom of the ear backward creating a tab. Glue the ears to the top of one of the eggs. Next, take your Sharpie marker and draw a face. Finally, glue a carrot to the mouth area.
Step six: For the other three eggs, glue the fees and the tails to bottom part of the egg (the more rounded part).
Step seven: Arrange the bunny eggs around your dish, pressing part of the eggs into the “dirt” so they look like they are digging for carrots. Then decorate the with the silk flowers.
You are all set! Happy Easter! Tag you makes on Instagram #maikingismybliss I would love to see what you make!
Happy Making,
Kristin
