Hi friends, I wanted to share a quick and easy way to add some Easter spirit to your home décor. I’m currently loving disco balls for obvious reasons. Not only do they add just the right amount of fun to my home décorations, but they reflect a pretty sparkle throughout the room when the light hits them. Since I already have a few of them hanging out, I figured why not dress one up like a cute little Easter bunny! We don’t go too big for Easter since we don’t have kids yet, but we still enjoy a few fun seasonal decorations, and I would say this particular project defiantly qualifies as fun! Let’s get to making our disco bunny, shall we?!
Supplies for disco ball easter bunny
Disco ball
Hot glue
12-gauge aluminum rose gold wire
Black construction paper
Craft glue
Pink yarn
8.5cm pompom maker
jewelry cutters
Scissors
To make the ears: Cut two 15in pieces of wire. Bend each piece into the shape of a bunny ear. Then bend the ends of the wire outward so they lay flat on the disco ball. Squeeze the ends of the wire together so they touch at the bottom. Use the hot glue gun to glue the wire to the top of the disco ball. Space each ear one inch apart.
To make the nose: Use the pompom maker to make a small pompom. Use the hot glue gun to glue the pompom to the center of the bunny’s face.
To make the eyes: Cut out one half circle from the black construction paper. Then use the piece you cut as a guide to cut out a second half circle. Once you have two half circles stack them on top of each other and cut out one more half circle to make the eye shape. Then use the craft glue to attach them to the bunny face.
Happy Easter! Hope you have fun crafting all sorts of projects this holiday (including this easy disco bunny)!
Happy making,
Kristin
