Hey guys, have you watched Marie Kondo’s new documentary on Netflix? If you’re into getting organized in this new year, it is a must.
I read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up (the book that sparked the idea for her show) around three years ago. In the book, Marie Kondo, a Japanese organization expert, explains her steps (the “KonMari” method) for getting your house in order.
What I love the most about the book is how she uses joy to determine what should stay or go. Once you hear the concept, it sounds so obvious: Only keep and surround yourself with items that spark joy!
One of her tips for keeping your things organized once you determine what sparks joy is to use boxes. In the KonMari method the boxes and their tops are used as tools to separate your things into sizes and ensure each item has a home. Now, she says you can use what you have around. However, I was shopping at IKEA and I spotted loads of stylish boxes that will help you on your organization journey. I had to share these gems with you all!
Here’s the list of boxes you can use to KonMari your home:
1.) TJENA: This savvy pink organizer will only set you back $5.
2.) RAGGISAR: I can see so many possibilities for these cute felt baskets!
3.) GRASIDAN: The thing that organizational dreams are made of!
4.) SAMMANHANG: Storage that doubles as trendy cork decor.
5.) SAMMANHANG set of 4: A place for all your Komono.
6.) ROMSKOG: Give your dust bunnies some company and store this rattan basket under the bed.
7.) KUGGIS: Ok, this one I would buy based on color alone, even if I wasn’t getting organized.
