Yesssss people, it’s 2019! Happy New Year.
This is a magical time of year, full of reflection and new intentions. If that’s your jam, then like me that means time to make a few resolutions as well. In all honesty, I like to make sure to keep my resolutions within reason. For example, I’m in no way planning to be a triathlete by 2020. I do, however, want to get our home organized.
Organizing can be extremely cathartic, although it’s not one of my strong suits. Last year was my first full year running a blog and working full time. Needless to say, I had to learn a lot about time management. One thing I did was put organization on the back burner. Instead, I made a habit of hiding clutter in drawers or closets.
When I was writing my intentions for the new year, I took some time to really dissect my week and restructure a few things. As it turns out, I do have time to organize, it just took seeing it on paper!
One new year’s cleaning method I will be implementing is giving everything a home! Which means I’m going to need some catch alls! I did some digging around on the web and as it turns out, there are a ton of great organization ideas you can DIY! As you know, we are big fans of making around these parts! So let’s get to making!
1.) These DIY clay ring dishes work great as a catch-all.
2.) This DIY pegboard from TheMerrythought is insanely stylish!
3.) Check out this DIY paint pour mail organizer from Purely Katie.
4.) The beauty dojo brought geometry to the party with these hexagon organizers.
5.) I’m in love with these DIY breakfast nook shelves from DIY in PDX.
